Family-run since 1985

About Raincom

Forty years of window cleaning across the Cotswolds and Shropshire, done with rainwater we collect ourselves and delivered by the family that owns the business.

Our story

Quietly good at one thing, for four decades.

Raincom started in 1985 with a single van and a modest round of shops and cottages. The job hasn't really changed since. Turn up, clean the glass properly, don't leave a mess, come back when you said you would. What's changed is the kit and the scale.

Today the rounds take in offices, hotels, retailers and schools alongside hundreds of homes, across the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Shropshire and Powys. We've cleaned for names like Aldi, House of Fraser, Knight Frank, Savills and Barnsley House Hotel, as well as for the same families for generations.

The water is the difference. We harvest rain, filter it three times, de-ionise it and send it up telescopic poles. Nothing else touches your glass. And because nothing is subcontracted, the person who quotes your building is the person who cleans it.

What we stand for

The Raincom way

Rainwater first

Harvested, purified and fed through pure-water poles. We haven't needed a chemical in years and we're not about to start.

Long relationships

Steady rounds, familiar faces and customers who've stayed for decades. A fair few for a generation or more.

Light footprint

No detergents, no run-off worth worrying about, and genuine care for the gardens and streets we work in.

Nothing subcontracted

Every job is quoted, scheduled and cleaned by Raincom people. No agencies, no strangers on your site.

Four decades

A brief history

1985

Raincom founded with one van and a small round of local shops and Cotswold cottages.

1990s

Word of mouth does its work. First commercial contracts arrive with regional retailers.

2000s

Coverage grows into Shropshire. The second generation of the family joins the business.

2010s

We invest in full rainwater harvesting and filtration, and pure water becomes the standard on every round.

2020s

Hundreds of commercial and domestic customers across the Cotswolds, Shropshire and beyond.

Today

Still family-run. Still chemical-free. Still turning up when we said we would.
